The topics of "happiness" and of the obsessive pursuit of Happiness in America have been widely discussed within the last few weeks - if not months - in many newspapers. This essay talks about happiness, or more specifically unhappiness in wealthy countries such as the United States and the counterproductive societal expectations of what a good life is.
